June 2012 CTR Lapbook

cover_edited-2Glad to see you are back for this month’s CTR Lapbook.  I’ve designed this lapbook to follow the 2012 Primary Sharing Time Ounline.  This month’s theme is: I Choose the Right by Living Gospel Principles.  Each week highlights a different principle, and I have made a minit book FREE to Download for each one.  These little minit books will help you reinforce these Gospel teaching in a fun and creative way. The best part? Creating these books with your children will also refine “school skills” such as handwriting practice, scissor work, memory, and math skills.  I love a two for one!  I suggest you sit down with your child/children on a Sunday afternoon or for FHE and work on it together.  I’ve tried to design these lapbooks for varying skill levels so multiple siblings can contribute to the final product.  The best part (do I have to pick just one)?  You can use them over and over again as a quiet book at church or school work practice.  I love a two for one and lots of mileage on my investment (mainly time and ink on this project.)

So lets get started.  If you are new you’ll need to do some background research so visit these previous posts:  the basics, a final product

If you are a lapbook pro, git downloading! (or take a minute and become a follower)

Supplies you will need:

  • file folder
  • paper
  • printer
  • scissors
  • glue gun or glue stick
  • laminator (optional)

First Download and print the cover:  Click on image to download from 4shared.  Once there hit download, wait 20 seconds and hit download again.

Glue on the cover and clip open the folder.  The Basics post will make this clear.

I like to make this reusable by covering one side with contact paper and doing the maze with a dry erase marker.  (That way everyone gets a turn.)

You are on your way.  Coming soon will be more minit books for the following principles:

Here’s a sneak peak of how cute they turned out!
